Barney Loehnis, a Brit in NYC, has helped many companies reimagine their business and map out a path to growth in the digital age. He is CEO of Gig Economy Networks – developing solutions to help companies and freelancers prepare for the Future of Work.
His most recent role was as Global Chief Digital Officer at Mercer, he led their digital transformation to service its 30,000 clients and their 110 million employees to better manage their Health, Wealth and Careers.
Barney spent 8 years in Asia leading Ogilvy’s digital group, developing brand and marketing strategies for clients like IBM, VW, Qualcomm, Adidas, Huawei, Nestle, Las Vegas Sands and Coca Cola. Prior to Asia Barney ran Warner Bros digital business in Europe marketing films like Harry Potter and The Matrix as well as establishing their eCommerce and CRM platforms.
In 1993 Barney was the first person to retrace The Long March – the epic 9,000km journey across China. He made the entire journey alone and on foot; he was arrested 50 times in the process.
